unsure if this is { Link } (from here: { Link } )
Unsure as well :)
The image in the link went viral when we first delivered XPages courtesy of Thomas Gumz, but it is not an official brand image, we don't have that. Make suggestion to Pete Janzen.
This just screams openntf competition doesn't it Even unofficially...... :)
I vote for an 8 legged camel walking backwards off a cliff, high above flooded nuclear power plant. The camel symbolizes the "horse designed by committee", the cliff is what the developer wants to jump off, the flooded nuclear power plant represent so much potential power rendered so incredibly inaccessible, and the fact that all this crap is squeezed into a single logo represents the user interface. What do you think?
Andrew, you need a vacation :)
Niklas, you name the prize :)
What would we need to motivate people to participate in such a contest? Glory and fun not enough?
To me, if IBM is going to use the logo officially, it would be enough recognition. Unfortunately, I have no gift for design :(
Serdar has a good point, about IBM will use the logo officially.
Yes, please a contest sounds great!
The winner of the XPages logo competition should get bragging rights for a whole year, one whole year! Imagine that! :-) So where do I go to upload my entry?
Imho a competition will have a lot more sense if and only if IBM endorse it and the winner will become the official xpages logo
"bragging rights for a whole year" :))) Excellent :) It should be "Yellow" color based or "Black" color based :) ?
@Serdar Başeğmez -- LOL, you are so right. I'm sure I'd feel better about the xpages IDE if IBM paid for me and my family to spend a week on a beach in Hawaii not working with it. In fact, I'm absolutely convinced that I'd fall in love with the entire product in that case. @Ferhat Bulut -- Yellow or Black? I was thinking mostly brown. I big stinking pile of logo with vertical wavey lines radiating up from it.
While it depends on IBM, I would create an application. I don't expect a commitment because they have a right to reject a logo. But a formula can be negotiated I guess. Any IBMer from brand management???
I've been using this for a while now... { Link } |
