Multithreaded replication on server?

Multithreaded replication in Notes client comes with 8.5.2. It's a perfect feature for people like me. I am working 4-5 different servers each time. Formerly, If I had a large database replicating, I were not even able to receive my new messages.

On the other hand, servers have 'pseudo' multithreaded replication. If you set notes.ini parameter "Replicators", there will be more than one replicator task.

Did you pay for Lotus Traveler?

OK, the subject is false... Lotus Traveler is a free product for Lotus Domino Servers. But there is a small detail to be evaluated.

You are not using express licensing. You have several server PVU licenses for your servers and you want to install a seperate Traveler Server.

Since Traveler server code will be installed on top of Lotus Domino Server, now the question comes in: Do I need an additional Domino Server PVUs for this seperate server?

Launching Lotus Symphony 3.0 inside Lotus Notes Client?

Using Lotus Symphony 3.0?

When you install Lotus Symphony 3.0 on your computer, there will be an odd situation. There is Lotus Symphony 3.0 installed, but 1.3 inside your Notes client.

If you want to upgrade embedded Symphony 1.3 and use version 3.0 inside your Notes client, you have to use a seperate installation for Symphony. This is called IBM Lotus Symphony 3.0 Add on Pack .

Goodbye my dear: A WAS-Domino implementation will be shutdown...

In 2003, my customer brought me a very tough problem. They were going to need a content management system for their web sites. Content should be generated and modified by different types of users (from inside company and outside agencies).

First we tried to build a Notes database hosted on a dedicated domino server but massive numbers of impressions were kicking response times underground... But we needed Domino, because content editors were wide-spread inside and outside company. Replication and data flexibility were indispensable.
