Using XPages for Mobile Applications? Wrong!
Are you willing to design Mobile Applications with XPages? Don't bother. You can't :)
What? But they say you can?
Nope!

Too many abbreviations :)
This is probably given before, but I have received a question last week and it would be useful sharing this.
When you run a server-side code at your XPage, your operation may be successful or failed. A newbie developer asked me how to acknowledge the user about the result, like MessageBox functionality in Lotusscript.
I was talking about Javascript frameworks, especially jQuery and Dojo toolkits.
I just saw this. I didn't use jQuery, but such difference in builtwith.com stats was a great surprize for me:
I was looking at my profile page at PlanetLotus.org, which directs 1/3 of visits to my blog.
I noticed an interesting pattern here. Some of my posts are getting good hits from PlanetLotus visitors. Marie L. Scott of CrashTestChix blog has pointed this last year at her post: "Top 15 Ways to Get Noticed on Planet Lotus".
I just read Ed's post, "GBS and IBM hosting Application Development Workshops" which reminds me our latest project within Turkish Lotus User Group...
As you may know, we recently created a little team inside LUGTR and we are planning some activities targeting university students with coordination of IBM Academic Initiative. Our primary aim is te raise brand awareness within these students.
Today was a spare day between project engagements...
So I decided to deal with the LUGTR web site, especially Quickr issues of the site. There were a problem with notifications. There wasn't notifications in fact! Empty bodies... Later, I figured out that in qpconfig.xml file, the template location has been defined with "\" instead of "/". Since it is working on SUSE Linux, the engine could not find the templates.
That was easy. I tested some notifications and saw that these will not be useful at all. There are some deficiencies in notification engine of Lotus Quickr for Domino.
Last week, Ed Brill announced the expected shift in Express licensing. IBM lifted all major limitations (except the user count) from Express Licensing.
In fact, this is a major discount for some companies under 1000 seats.
In his LUGTR 2011 speech, Ed also informed us that license agreement will be simplified as the next release... That was an ongoing issue for sometime as I posted before.
IBM announced that Lotus Notes/Domino 8.5.2 FP2 packages are ready to be downloaded. The fix pack contains several critical fixes and is recommended for all 8.5.2 users.
I have just finished uploading opening track videos, including myself, Ed Brill and Ozgur Uckan \& Denis Sener...
A second suggestion to IBM. They should acquire Snapps. At least, Rob Novak should be included in a payroll :)
I think that this fantastic team has leveraged the market value of Lotus Quickr up to another level...
