A second suggestion to IBM. They should acquire Snapps. At least, Rob Novak should be included in a payroll :)

I think that this fantastic team has leveraged the market value of Lotus Quickr up to another level...

I am using Lotus Quickr for a some years. Although it is useful and well-designed tool, you cannot discover how much you can bend it according to your needs. A bare implementation is just another web 2.0 tool...

Then I noticed some guys, designing interesting place types for specific issues.  Utilitization of Snapps templates is not the core issue. The most important thing they provided to us is that they can bend the spoon :)

Excellent point is that they provide most of the templates free of charge, as beer...

Dear Snapps, I know you work hard, but we need your templates to be compatible with Quickr 8.5.1.

Dear IBM, please acquire Snapps :)

P.S. Not an original idea :) Inspired by Stuart McIntyre...

We thank you, Rob...

For showing great commitment for Lotus Quickr.

For not only providing these templates for free, but also answering forum entries, tweets and chat questions personally :)

Awaiting impatiently :)

Thank you for the kind words, Serdar. As I've mentioned to a number of people, we are - four years after providing and maintaining the first set of templates - working on them (and others) for clients who really need to upgrade and have them as part of their customizations. with other clients expanding and extending their use of Quickr in ways you would not believe, our time has become quite limited to work "on the side" on free stuff.

You'll see QPhotos and QContacts first, since a client has helped fund them. Also, we're working on some new cool stuff, some of which will be free.

Again thanks.
