So DNUG is over. Including preconference, DNUG was a three-day conference.
As I said before, most of the sessions were in German. so my participation doesn't count to be educatory :)
My twitter (version 3.4.2) followers noticed that I am in Germany for DNUG Conference.
After organizing LUGTR conference, (even I am late) I decided to see other user group conferences. I picked two very distinct types of events: UKLUG and DNUG.
In one of my previous posts, I mentioned about a way to authenticate user for a web application inside an iFrame in XPiNC page.
Now I found another solution for this. When a user clicks a link inside a Notes Client application, we may authenticate him on the web server application (either XPages or 'legacy' (!) web application)...
I personally think that Microsoft has overpaid Skype and it won't return that much profit in tangible or intangible quantities.
When there is a background processing where the user should wait until it's done, I don't want him/her to click anywhere else in the screen. But I also want the user to know s/he'll have to wait.
Overdemanding?
I found a very simple solution to this problem. Sure there is more elegant solutions without dojo, but let me share it...
Are you willing to design Mobile Applications with XPages? Don't bother. You can't :)
What? But they say you can?
Nope!
Too many abbreviations :)
This is probably given before, but I have received a question last week and it would be useful sharing this.
When you run a server-side code at your XPage, your operation may be successful or failed. A newbie developer asked me how to acknowledge the user about the result, like MessageBox functionality in Lotusscript.
I was talking about Javascript frameworks, especially jQuery and Dojo toolkits.
I just saw this. I didn't use jQuery, but such difference in builtwith.com stats was a great surprize for me:
