Lotus Notes/Domino 8.5.2 has been announced... At last!
IBM finally announced release 8.5.2. We were such impatient about it.
IBM finally announced release 8.5.2. We were such impatient about it.
IBM announced that Lotus Notes/Domino 8.5.1 FP4 packages are ready to be downloaded. The fix pack contains several critical fixes and is recommended for all 8.5.1 users. It is also incremental and contains all fixes in prior fix-packs. I didn't have time to look at the list of fixes but I'll blog about them soon.
Fix list contained by FP4 can be seen on:

But, I wonder how many companies have enough admins... Regarding my customers, the average is one admin per 400-500 users. This is not healthy. Let me suggest some tricks to overcome this annoying workload...
Two weeks ago, I blogged about recent discussions after Jake's decision to learn Sharepoint...
Now, a recent conversation arised between Jake, successful blogger of codestore.net and Yancy, the owner and founder of planetlotus.org.
For a couple of weeks, an important discussion has been emerged between Lotus community members. I am watching blogs with deep curiosity, because similar issues are being discussed here (in Turkey) for a decade between partners as well as customers.
A recent news article claims that the database application keeping land registy records of Istanbul province has been stolen and being marketed to some real estate agencies. It is concerned what may happen if mobs acquire this sensitive information. It reminds us the importance of information security .
